Dale Lanoutte, manager of Legion Post 291 wanted to celebrate Mel's life thus began Melfest in 2007. The first year was a lot of feeling things out and getting organized, we also had a pretty cold day, but it was still a success. In 2008 the weather was great, we had on site rustic camping, plenty of food and great music by Marshall Law. The turn out has been growing and we hope to keep it that way. This year we are hoping to have a bigger and better turn out. test
